Caecilians

Caecilian are a strange type of amphibian primarily adapted for burrowing and are superficially similar to snakes and worms. They fall under the order Gymnophiona and mostly live hidden underground. This makes caecilian one of the least known and least explored type of amphibian in existance. Due to this they are relatively unknown to the exotic pet trade, however you can obtain some very interesting specimins if you know where to look.

 

All caecilians can be divided into 6 different families and their distribution if often restricted to tropical parts of the globe. Individual caecilian caresheets for specific species can be found below.

Blog What is the chemical that causes toads to lay eggs?

If I recall, an injection causes ovulation. Apparently the male does not require prompting. Where do you get it? Yes, I know Toads are not reptiles, but this looked like the best site.
